* Social Media - Setting up and managing twitter, facebook, and other social media sites
* Write blog articles, product reviews, press releases, etc.
* Coordinate Advertising campaigns, email campaigns
* Identify and Prioritize Different Marketing Channels
* Be creative in introducing new ideas and concepts to build the company's brand
* Research possible marketing, PR, and sales opportunities
* General office/customer service responsibilities

Required skills:
* Experience navigating online shopping websites

Description of Position:
Fitness Manufacturing Partners will be accepting resumes for the position of Marketing Intern.  The marketing intern will assist the VP of Marketing in implementation of strategic plans for new sales and marketing initiatives for new and existing brands.

1.    Support in the development of sales & consumer marketing materials (collateral, presentations, coupons, photos, etc.)
2.    Assist with developing and implementing interactive and social media programs
3.    Prepare and maintain online/ecommerce implementation including new product placement for retailers, eBay product management and internal product updates
4.    Assist in media monitoring & reporting and support agency with media sample requests

Fitness Manufacturing Partners is a growing business, so the intern will have a unique opportunity to take an active roll within the company and work on multiple brands.  The more motivated the intern is the more opportunities they will have to learn and develop a wide variety of marketing skills.

2010 SUMMER FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

Date: June 6 - August 7, 2010
Where: New York, New York

The IRTS Summer Fellowship Program teaches up-and-coming communicators the realities of the media industry and business world through a nine-week , expense-paid fellowship , which includes practical experience and career-planning advice. Fellows gain full-time, "real world" experience at New York-based media companies. In addition, the Fellowship provides the opportunity to network with industry professionals, take related field trips, and attend panels, lectures and group discussions.

ELIGIBILITY:
